Kyaingtong is the town located at the elevation of 1100 m (3600 ft), and on the National High Way 4 in the northeast part of Shan State. It is 456 km (283 ml) northeast of Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State. Kyaingtong means the wall city of Tung.
